2007 DESMO BBQ / Concours d'Elegance
Barbeque, Ducatis, and great people--the summertime trifecta! Mother Nature once again treated DESMO to a spectacular day. The food was great and plentiful, and it was great matching faces with names. This year’s BBQ was without peer--it just gets better year after year.

We had lots of cool stuff today. Many thanks to the following vendors:
  • Agip - oil, shirts, flashlights, pens, hats
  • Arai - a helmet, helmet bags, shirts, and hats. And a huge gear bag!
  • Autumn Riders - shirt and hats
  • Battery Tender - three battery tenders
  • BCM - shirts and hats
  • Cliff's - Shirts, jacket, helmet, chemicals, posters, book
  • Corsair Industries - billet oil filler caps
  • Ducati North America - shirts, hats
  • European Cycle Services - 2 gift certificates
  • Fishtail Riding School – trackday
  • Goldcoast - shirts and hats
  • Held – shirts
  • Kryptonite - two chain locks
  • Meguiars - cleaning supplies
  • Motion Pro - tools, hats and shirts
  • Spectro – oil
  • Tony's Trackday - discount coupons
  • Williamsville Ducati – shirts
  • Zero Gravity - gift certificate for windscreen

In addition, we had autographed shirts by Ruben Xaus and autograph posters by Cook Nielson and Giuliano Maoggi. Thanks to Ted, Wei, Aldrin and Armando for delivering some prizes, and thanks to Wei, Jon, Carl, and Tony for their help in procuring some of the prizes. (And many thanks to Jon's girls for selling hundreds of raffle tickets, and for their help in organizing.)

The folks from Arai traveled from Bethleham, Pa to join us, and saw fit to provide not only a helmet of choice for the raffles but custom factory fitting to boot!! Patiently explaining the proper helmet fitting and why it matters.

Then, of course, we had our bike show, where we had a lot of interesting bikes. Including a Pantah, an Elefant, a TT2, a Hypermotard and a Cadet. A truly diverse group of bikes stretching almost 45 years!

Thanks to all who brought their bikes out, and to Roger and Kent for organizing the bike show. And congratulations to those winning awards. For those of you without vintage rides, go out and buy one now so you can share it with us next summer. You have until August to make it happen.
