First Responder Course
DESMO, in conjunction with European Cycle Services, hosted our inaugural First Responder Course, on Saturday, March 28, 2010, at ECS in Middletown, NY. While this is knowledge no one ever wants to use, it
could be deadly not to know. We'll host this again!
The New York International Motorcycle Show
was held in January at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. DESMO members checked out Ducati's new booth, Ducati's new Multistrada, and visited
our friends who were working the show. Always a blast!
Ninth Annual DESMO Holiday Party
DESMO's annual Holiday Party was scheduled Saturday, December 5, 2009 at in Nyack, NY.
The room was decked out with giant photos from the past year, and the stage was stacked high with raffle donations. And our 10 Year Anniversary logo was unveiled.

Trackday The Sixth Annual DESMO
Trackday at NHIS this past Monday hosted by Fishtail Riding School was
yet another great success. Despite temperatures in the mid-90's and a
track surface temperatures of 130 degrees, an amazing time was had by

The DESMO
featured in National Magazine
DESMO was the featured club in Metric
Roadbike
Magazine's May 2008 Club Corner. We're very gratified at the national
exposure provided to us...Metric Roadbike reaches tens of thousands of
motorcycle enthusiasts monthly.

The 2007 MotoGP book
recaps this season
-starting
with an overview of the results, followed by detailed biographies on
each of the riders, before delving into race-by-race reviews.
The book is packed with hundreds of large full-color photos of the
races, bikes, teams, and fans that made this year's Moto GP season one
to remember.
The book is very easy to read and understand, and the author never
dives too deep into the technology on a level that's incomprehensible
to the average reader. As a casual spectator this season, I was afraid
I wouldn't enjoy the book (or would find it more-advanced than my
mechanical understanding of motorcycles)-but this was not the case.
Each race's chapter has detailed statistics on poll position &
qualifying, race times, lap averages & top speeds, and a
color-coded line graph showing lap by lap progress of each rider. All
are excellent tools to settle bets and arguments over beers with your
friends.
Overall it's a great anthology of the first 800cc season, and a must
have for any motorcycle race fan.

announces the return of the Oil Spill
- February, 2008
Although most of us have only just winterized, but judging by the last
poll, a lot of us don't even seem to winterize, it's time to look ahead
towards the 2008 riding season. What better way to start a season than
to attend the crowd favorite early season DESMO Oil Spill. Now is the
time to give your bike a proper once over and dust out the cobwebs left
from a winter's hibernation before setting off on another season of
saddle sores, track days, and general riding. Click

Party
has become an even bigger success. We are now celebrating
the 7th year once again at Dave & Busters. We will have our
door prize raffle and Chinese Auction with great Ducati swag. Don't

2006 Holiday Party

Once again the
DESMO Holiday Party proved to be a huge success as a full house packed
Dave & Busters again. New and old members mingled amongst the
video presentations, an S4RS and Sport1000, raffle prizes galore, and
the always popular buffet dinner. Raffle prizes this year included a
set of Brembo full floating stainless steel rotors, track days galore,
a Suomy helmet, Bridgestone tires, riding leather jackets, in addition

Charlie's
Garage -
October 8, 2006
Charlie hosted a social at his home in Morristown, NJ, from 11 am to 3
pm. Charlie has a collection of vintage Ducatis, including but not
limited to: Roundcase 750 Sports, Squarecase 900 Supersport, &
a Desmo single. There will also likely be some members with their own
vintage Ducks. It will be a nice day to hang out with your friends,
meet some new members, and closely examine some historical motorcycles
that were the inspiration for your own ride. Click here

The
2006 DESMO

4th
Annual DESMO/BCM Track Day - July
26, 2006
The
4th Annual
DESMO/BCM track day was held under brilliant blue but hot skies at New
Hampshire International Speedway on July 26. The ranks of track junkies
were swelled as numerous track newbies took the plunge for the first
time and loved it. Lap records may not have been broken, but there were
plenty of smiles per mile. Click

2006
Swap Meet & Ducati Daze hosted by Cliff's Ducati - May 27, 2006
Dozens
of
DESMO members were among the hundreds of participants at Cliff's Ducati
Daze, on Saturday, May 27 2006. Cliff's hosted Gary Eagan, Neil
Hodgson, and Doug Polen, who chatted and signed autographs for fans.
The Ducati Truck was on hand, providing a 17 mile test ride on new
Ducatis. And there were over a dozen Ducatisti peddling their parts and
accessories in DESMO's Second Swap Meet. Not to mention hundreds of
bikes of all ages and types...both in the parking lot and in the bike

riding season is finally here! We're pleased to announce 1 Newbie ride
this year along with 6 full fledged rides. As the dates slowly

Weasel
shortage in upstate New York -
December 10,
2005
The
little
furry rodents have been disappearing from weasel farms all over
Dutchess and Columbia counties. Authorities are investigating a rumor
that the weasels are being held captive by a farmer that uses weasel
piss to power his tractor. Authorities recommend not confronting the
farmer, may be armed and dangerous as there has been unconfirmed
reports of shallow holes roughly the size of teenaged boys on the
property.

Opens Ducati Manhattan - May 10,
2005
DESMO
played a
significant role in the grand opening festivities of the new Ducati
Manhattan, the Ducati flagship store for the New York City area. Read
